Substance Use Disorder Treatment & Recovery

Advance your expertise and make a difference with UNC Pembroke’s Graduate Certificate in Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery. This 12-hour program equips Master of Social Work students with the knowledge to understand, assess and treat substance use disorders — preparing you to meet urgent needs in a growing field. The certificate meets Criteria C for Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) eligibility and is approved by the North Carolina Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board.

Program Details

The Graduate Certificate in Substance Use Disorder Treatment & Recovery is available exclusively to students enrolled in 51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s Master of Social Work (MSW) program. Our MSW program emphasizes culturally responsive practice, community leadership, and clinical excellence.
