Chancellor Ambassadors

The Chancellor Ambassadors is a student organization comprised of exemplary undergraduate students from 51³Ô¹ÏÍø.
Ambassadors will serve as the official hosts for events held by the Office of the Chancellor and the university. From assisting with high-profile campus visits to attending distinguished university events, members of the Chancellor Ambassadors help foster relationships with all members, friends, alumni and special guests of UNC Pembroke.
The Chancellor Ambassador application process occurs once per academic year during the Spring semester. The selection of Ambassadors is based on availability and willingness to serve, knowledge of the university, leadership, campus involvement, academic background, poise, and interpersonal and communication skills. Ambassadors are expected to attend meetings and be available to host university events planned by the Office of the Chancellor.
Applications for the 2026-2027 academic year will open on January 12, 2026, and must be submitted by March 2, 2026. Students can access the application link on My 51³Ô¹ÏÍø (my.uncp.edu).
Candidates will be considered, interviewed and selected in March 2026. Once selected, a student will remain an Ambassador throughout their academic career. If an ambassador fails to maintain the minimum qualifications or does not show for two mutually agreed upon events, the ambassador will be removed from the program.
- Full-time undergraduate student (12 credit hours per semester)
- Minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average
- Free of Disciplinary Action

Serving as a Chancellor Ambassador is both an honor and a privilege. The opportunities we have to engage with leadership and represent BraveNation are invaluable.

Chancellor AmbassadorOnce selected, Chancellor Ambassadors assume their responsibilities beginning with an Ambassador Orientation where they study the history of the university, discuss etiquette, and tour campus. During the program, Ambassadors are frequently asked to share their student experience at UNC Pembroke with guests.
Through the program, Ambassadors have the opportunity to promote and represent BraveNation, assist the Chancellor at select university events, participate in professional development opportunities and network with notable 51³Ô¹ÏÍø alumni, donors and community leaders.
