Pembroke Day, an annual celebration showcasing area businesses, student organizations and community nonprofits, will be held Thursday, October 16, 2025, on the campus of UNC Pembroke.

Now in its 35th year, the event will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. on the Quad between Old Main and the Mary Livermore Library. Each year, Pembroke Day draws dozens of vendors representing local businesses, healthcare providers, student clubs, academic departments and community agencies. Attendees can enjoy promotional giveaways, informational displays and handcrafted items.

Student Health Services will coordinate a Health Fair, featuring free health screenings and other educational resources. Several health agencies will have representatives on hand to answer questions and provide information on various topics. Guests will be treated to free hot dogs and pulled pork sandwiches, while a variety of food trucks will also be on site offering additional options for purchase.

Local favorite Mark McKinney & Co. will provide live musical entertainment throughout the afternoon. There will also be performances by the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Concert Band and the 'Spirit of the Carolinas' marching band. The Lumbee ambassadors are also scheduled to attend.

One of the university’s longest-running traditions, Pembroke Day is a collaborative effort between the university and the Town of Pembroke. Established in 1990, the event continues to foster connections between the campus and the community, allowing students to explore programs, partnerships and community impact.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for Wednesday, October 22. For more information, contact Paula Cummings at 910.522.5717 or email paula.cummings@uncp.edu.
