PEMBROKE, N.C. (27 October 2020) Despite challenges to meeting in person, the Universitys chapter of Sigma Tau Delta continues to engage students and cultivate creativity and camaraderie, welcoming both members and non-members to take part in its activities.
On March 11, 2020, the UNC system ended in-person classes and transitioned all courses to fully remote instruction because of the COVID19 virus sweeping the globe.
Five UNC Pembroke journalism alumni received third-place honors in a student category for environmental reporting, announced Sept. 30 during an annual award ceremony held by the Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ).
