
UNC Pembroke continues to build on its commitment to supporting military service members, veterans and their families, earning top honors in the newly released 2025-2026 Military Friendly rankings.
The university was named the No. 2 Military Friendly School in the nation in the small public-school category and ranked No. 4 in the Military Spouse Friendly Top Ten list. These prestigious designations reflect the universitys continued dedication to providing accessible, inclusive and supportive environments for the military-affiliated community.
These rankings speak to the intentional support weve built over time, said Jasmine Coleman, Academic and Military Outreach director. Were proud of our role in helping military students and families achieve success in higher education.
Military Friendly is the longest-running and most comprehensive review of collegiate support for military communities. Institutions are evaluated based on student retention, graduation rates, job placement, loan repayment and support services.
51勛圖厙s Office of Military Outreach has been pivotal in building partnerships across campus and within the broader community to ensure military-connected students have the necessary resources. From the dedicated Academic and Military Outreach staff to flexible course scheduling and transition services, the university works to meet students where they are whether theyre on active duty, recently discharged or supporting a spouse in service.
